Meal pickup at La Crescent Community Building, 336 1st Street South (back door along alleyway).
SEMCAC provides meals for senior citizens Monday through Friday of each week through their Senior Dining Program. Volunteers provide the delivery of the meals which are prepared and packaged at the La Crescent Community Building.
SEMCAC has contacted our club with a request for help with Thursday deliveries. This would start on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, and continue indefinitely every Thursday.
Times for the deliveries are from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Delivery volunteers pick up the directions with a suggested delivery route, along with the bagged meals, at the back door of the La Crescent Community Building located at 336 S. 1st Street. There are roughly10 people who receive meals on each route. It generally takes no more than 45 minutes to complete a route.
